The Niners fall to 0-1 on the season as they lose the season opener at home to the Carolina Panthers. The score was 23-3 as the Niners failed to score a touchdown but were there any signs of improvement for the 49ers? San Francisco have had a major overhaul during the offseason fronted by new GM/HC combo John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan and this was their first chance to showcase their efforts.
