Another week, another shambles. With a humbling 41-16 defeat to the Patriots, any hopes of a turnaround for the Broncos can be put to bed for this season.
New England Patriots 41 Denver Broncos 16
Ohhhh Sunday Night! The New England Patriots took control early of another Sunday Night Football matchup in Week 10 as they faced the Brock Osweiler led Broncos, who actually beat the Pats the last time the Brockstar was under centre (an overtime win in 2015). This time round, the Denver defence is only a shadow of what it once was and Brady continues to show why he is the frontrunner for the MVP race, despite what Eagles fans might have you think.
Los Angeles Chargers 13 – New England Patriots 21
In this Week 8 AFC matchup, the Los Angeles Chargers were able to lose yet another game based on their own mistakes, as the New England Patriots were able to do enough to get themselves to 6-2 as they head into their bye.
Atlanta Falcons 7 New England Patriots 23
It finally happened. The New England Patriots defence has arrived and what a week to do it! Taking on 2016 MVP Matt Ryan and the struggling Atlanta offence under new Offensive Coordinator Steve Sarkisian, the New England Patriots showed that they can make stops on defence, stopping Atlanta from scoring until there was only 4:09 left in the game. It was only a strong Julio Jones catch – as he ripped it out of Malcolm Butler’s hands – that prevented New England’s defence from pitching a shutout.
New England Patriots 24 New York Jets 17
Despite the Patriots digging a 14-0 hole for themselves early, mixing in a Mike Gillislee fumble with a number of poor attempts at coverage on defence, New England was lucky to come away with a victory in the Metalands as the Jets (now 3-3) still can’t figure out whether or not they want Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen yet.
