The train keeps on rolling for the Chargers after a comfortable 30-13 victory over the Washington Redskins on Sunday. Next stop for Anthony Lynn’s boys, a season-defining game at Kansas City on Saturday night. That game was only made huge though due to the Bolts taking care of business against Washington as they moved to 7-6 with their fourth win in a row.
This has been a hell of a season as a Broncos fan. It’s gone from hoping to win every game, to hoping not to lose too badly, to hiding behind your hands praying that the team will somehow manage not to be so terrible that you question why you watch this stupid sport.
Well, from that perpsective this was a doozy; two – yes two – safeties, a pick six, a blocked punt, an onside kick recovery by the Dolphins, plus the sight of an ex-Broncos player humping the football in celebration.
Oh and all that culminated in a blowout loss to the Jay Cutler led Dolphins, sheesh.
New England Patriots 23 Buffalo Bills 3
In a season long battle for the first seed against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots continue to add to their win total as all roads lead to an epic Week 15 matchup to see if the playoffs really will run through Foxboro again as they typically do. As mentioned previously on the Patriots Week in Review, these games don’t really matter for the Patriots. They’re slam dunks before you’ve even found the game on GamePass. Whilst the top teams in the NFC battle out for a limited amount of playoff spots between a bunch of great teams, the Patriots are sitting pretty in a weak AFC knowing that there is only one big game is left in the regular season for them, and it’ll be taking place at Heinz Field.
So, here we are again. After much protestation, our Glorious G&G Overlord has decried that there must be an update on how the Titans’ season is going. I feel like there is a deep discussion this week; and befitting the seriousness of the AFC Playoff picture, we should avoid SpongeBob memes and South Park references for one week. Let me nail my Lutheran thesis to the wall and explain my main issues with the AFC South.
But first, a general overview of our season is necessary…
Whisper it quietly, or you might startle them, but the LA Chargers have a chance to make the play-offs. Back-to-back wins over Buffalo and Dallas have shoved the Bolts firmly in the to the wildcard mix, perhaps even the AFC West title picture if Kansas City keep losing.
