Well, that was something special in the first week of the NFL Playoffs. We saw comebacks, great defensive displays and a concussed Quarterback playing through the 4th quarter. It was a special time for the fans of the Buffalo Bills who have seen their team play in a Playoff game for the first time in just under 18 years. Lets delve into five takeaways of the weekends action.

Let’s get philosophical for a second. What is life? What is meaning? What is truly going on with the world? What is a catch?
Tricky Dicky’s Magical Defensive Act
Quick note here to start; I had every intention of doing a separate week 13 and week 14 update. I even had my wrap up of the Titan’s win over Houston written and ready to send to our Grand Overlord. However, on proof reading, I realised that everything I had written about that match was incoherent and overall the piece was an attempt at the world record for swear words in an article. Given that our loss to the Cardinals had so much in common with what happened against the Texans, it seemed apt to mix the two weeks together to give an overall state of where the Titans sit at the moment.

What an absolute shambles. Seriously, this was a ridiculous game. This was like a flashback to watching Man City games in like 2005 when they couldn’t score if their lives depended on it. Tom Brady is now 7-9 in his career in Miami. That’s a freakin’ Jeff Fisher record and not what you expect from a team trying to win the god damn Superbowl every year. This was by far the worst performance by not just Brady but the whole team since that big Kansas City fiasco in Week 4 of the 2014 season.
New York Jets 0 – 23 Denver Broncos
There is a great quote in the classic rockumentary “Spinal Tap” – It’s such a fine line between stupid and clever
While not changing a huge amount the Broncos halted an eight game losing streak with a shutout of the Jets, a fine line indeed.
The defence was still good, the special teams played a tidy game and a few of the errors that had derailed the offence were turned into positive plays.
That was it, but it produced a night and day difference in attitude and confidence.
