The legal tampering period has come and gone, we are now in a new year of the NFL. With that comes a whole lot of free agency signings that occur as soon as the new league year begins. It is because of the incredible legal tampering period that we NFL fans get to scroll Twitter for a couple of days knowing that whenever we do, another free agent has found a home. This year, the Patriots have a number of notable free agents and I’m going to go over some of the comings and goings that have caught my eye over the last couple of days.
Philadelphia Eagles 41 New England Patriots 33
I have ventured to the abyss and back to deliver this Patriots game review, I am now in a solid mental state after the last few days of suffering and loss. Unlike other weeks – where I would take notes – the Superbowl was so engrossing, I didn’t take any. So, these thoughts are going to be much more fragmented and in the end, will help because some recent news has meant I have something to be happy about and I want to write about that as well. Here we go.
Jacksonville Jaguars 20 New England Patriots 24
What a game. Whilst the NFC didn’t deliver a decent game for their championship game, the AFC sure did as the New England Patriots are going back to the Superbowl to defend their crown after beating the Jacksonville Jaguars after yet another fourth quarter comeback by Tom ’12 stitches’ Brady.
Tennessee Titans 14 New England Patriots 35
Next week, the season truly begins for the New England Patriots. Nowadays, it is a foregone conclusion that the Patriots make it to the AFC Championship Game and this year, they coasted through the divisional round in style, destroying the Titans 35-14.
Buffalo Bills 16 New England Patriots 37
Sometimes the score doesn’t tell the entire story and boy is this a great example of such a scenario. This game was close for way too long for this to be considered another comfortable Patriots win. Did I feel nervous at all during this game? No, but if the Patriots hadn’t have turned the offense up to 11 at the time they did and left it later, maybe I would.
